Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
Welcome to Newton County Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
Geographic Information Systems was formed by an intergovernmental agreement between City of Covington, Newton County Board of Commissioners, and Newton County Water and Sewer Authority. The purpose of this union was to make possible the development of a state of the art Geographic Information System or GIS. This was necessary in order to improve the ability of these agencies to respond in a rapidly changing environment.
