Boys Baseball:

The Newton County Recreation Commission's Baseball Program is offered to children ages 4 to 14. This program is designed for kids to learn the fundamentals of Baseball and to have fun doing it. We offer spring and fall sessions. Our Baseball Programs are affiliated with Little League and Dixie Boys Organizations and we have All-Star Teams at the end of our regular season. These teams will play in a district tournament for the opportunity to advance on to the State Tournament.

All regular season games are played at City Pond Complex, located here in Newton County. Our spring season begins practice in March. Games begin in April and go through June.

Fall Baseball practice begins in August and games run from September until the middle of October.

Teams are allowed to practice two times during the week and once on the weekends.


Age groups and League Names are as follows:

• 4 year olds (co-ed) - Wee League
• 5 - 6 year olds - Training League 
• 7 - 8 year olds - Pee Wee League 
• 9 - 10 year olds - Minor League 
• 11 - 12 year olds - Major League 
• 13 - 14 year olds - Dixie Boys

2012 Spring Baseball:

Register January 3rd until February 3rd
(Extended thru Feb.10 at 5pm)

Wee League Co-Ed (4yr. olds) Boys Ages 5-14	$75 First Child (No additional sibling discount for Wee League)  $140 First Child $130 Each Additional Child

• You will need to provide proof of residency. (Current utility bill, lease agreement, etc.)
• $50 out of County Fee for anyone living outside of Newton County
• Payment must be made by check, money order, or credit card only. NO CASH!
• A state certified copy of your child’s birth certificate must be on file to register.
